In times in our life, we sometimes find ourselves dealing with wildlife one way or another and it's not hard to see why! Because of the rapid expansion of urbanization, wild animals have no choice but to adapt to man-made structures. Some animals like mice, rats, raccoons, birds, and bats favor man-made structures to hang out because they love being in the dark and undisturbed. When wild animals intrude on your property, they will cause extensive damages in your property while you're at the risk of getting fatal diseases. Our wildlife company is fully licensed and experienced in several services. Animal removal, insulation replacement, wildlife control, repairs, wildlife exclusion, and animal relocation. We answer our phone 24/7 by our courteous and informative staff. We are always available at any time and day because wild animals do not take a day off! Armadillo Recipes

Some people think armadillo is not safe to eat, but the good news is it’s not only safe but delicious too. People who like pork they will definitely like to eat armadillo. They lived on the ground and easy to catch, so if you want to eat them, you can pick them in no time. These animals have poor vision that helps humans and other predators to catch them.

You may find them active at night while roaming around the woods. So if you want to catch them, choose the night time. Although hunting at night time is considered illegal, but you can do this just for survival purposes.

You can use a flashlight in their eyes as they will start walking, you can pick them easily by distracting them. Although the light will blind and they will not be able to see you, but they can hear your walk sound, so be careful while catching them. You can also pick up them in the day time, but your chances of success will be less as compared to night time.

How to clean and cook armadillo

The first task is to catch the armadillo that you can do better at night time or when the light is low. The armadillo is like other animals, but it has a shell that makes it easy to cook this. Once the animal is gutted now set the flame to burn all the animal hairs. Once the hair has been removed, then on the next step, scrap some coal to create the cooking fire. Then set this armadillo within the coals, keep the shell side onto the fire. This shell will help you to cook delicious meat without losing any fat or protein. Try not to lose the fat while cooking it on the fire. So by keeping the shell on the fireside will help you to save all of the calories.

Turn the armadillo on the fire slowly so it can be cooked from all parts; make sure you have cooked the stomach area properly. If you feel any part of the meat is not cooked properly, then keep it again on the fire to re-cook it.

Is armadillo dangerous to eat?

Some of the people do not like the armadillo because of believing that armadillo carries leprosy by handling them. Every animal contains some percentage of disease like any bacteria that can be harmful, but by cooking the food properly, you can kill the bacteria. But do not remove the animal with open cuts that can allow bacteria to get in.

Clean your hand and use sensitizer after cleaning up the armadillo. You can eat any animal, but it is better to clean them properly before cooking them.

Nutrition

Armadillo meat contains high calories. If you eat a pound of meat, it contains almost 700-1200 calories. So eating an armadillo can help to get enough fat and calories and can help you to survive easily.
